Voices of the West: Distinguished Lecture Series Member Registration

Voices of the West: Distinguished Lecture Series with Everett Fly
Stereoviews and Cultural Double Vision
Saturday, October 6 | 2:00pm

Everett L. Fly, 2014 National Humanities Medalist, delivers an illustrated presentation referencing images from our fall exhibition, Destino San Antonio, that show the presence of African Americans everywhere from the city’s plazas to the famed “Flower Parade.” The appearance of blacks in such prominent photographs documents the complex and contradictory nature of racially segregated life in late nineteenth-century San Antonio.
